La Marzocco Canada by Stealth is renowned for espresso equipment and is the Canadian distributor for the iconic La Marzocco brand. Our brands are strong and we are looking for an additional team member to drive increased awareness and recognition as our Marketing Specialist.
Stealth is a small team, so team members need to possess the initiative to make impactful business decisions and the humility to roll up their sleeves and bring ideas to life. You will be responsible for creating and executing marketing and promotional plans designed to raise brand and coffee awareness that contribute to lead generation and sales. You will integrate yourself into the coffee community, partner with roasters and distributors to create interactive and appealing content using a variety of promotional activities such as in-person events, campaigns, and website/social media design.

OVERVIEW
Reporting to the COO, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating and executing a marketing plan designed to raise brand and coffee awareness and contribute to lead generation and sales. Brand awareness will be achieved by creating interactive, engaging and informative content. You will conceptualize and organize promotional activities such as in-person events and campaigns. The role is responsible for creating or outsourcing graphic design work, internal photography and copy editing.
ACCOUNTABILITIES and KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Awareness - Content creation, ensuring content is consistent with La Marzocco brand and Stealth activities, this includes product and event photography, graphic design and copywriting. Creating interactive content that attracts target persona and audience to a engage with and share news about coffee, La Marzocco and Stealth. Coordinate and schedule content effectively. And our monthly’s newsletters, along with campaigns and things from SRL office in Italy.
Promotions and Events – Create and work with all members of and stakeholders to Stealth to plan and execute community-based events and execute national promotional strategies designed to raise awareness, promote the coffee culture, and the La Marzocco brand. Communicate about, coordinate various pieces to plan and follow up on events and other promotional activities. This includes hosting events on day of to ensure stakeholders’ needs are properly met. Increase storytelling and engagement through the development of visual content, on-site events and curated experiences to raise awareness of the La Marzocco brand.
Miscellaneous - Create price sheets as needed; design signage for the showroom; assist in the merchandizing of the showroom with a “visual eye”. Manage marketing materials such as print and brand swag, organize and inform staff on appropriate distribution protocols. Budget and account for expenditures related to marketing and planning events. Cleaning pre and post events. Work with La Marzocco to ensure consistent website presence and appearance.
General Communication - Ensure Stealth team is properly updated on events and initiatives, update team calendar, Stealth websites, Eventbrite and other socials. Data collection, monitoring social activities and track performance and other related metrics.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Baccalaureate in Business or Arts with a concentration in Marketing and/or Communications
Experience:
- Experience imagining and executing successful promotional and community events
- 2-3 years experience in creating, crafting and perfecting communications and marketing strategies
- Strong working knowledge in PowerPoint and Canva design skills, drafting skills; Adobe Creative Cloud Suite/ Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office 365, as well as web content management systems (WordPress, Weebly)
- Strong working knowledge of Mailchimp, Shopify, GoDaddy, Later, Yoast and Square space
- Well-versed in SEO and SEM, social media and web analytics/reporting tools

- Superior understanding of the high-end coffee industry
- Excellent visual and creative competencies
- Strong team contributions and interpersonal skills
- Using social media to drive traffic and sales
- Highly organized and resourceful
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Will be required to travel regularly throughout BC and within Canada to meet with customers, attend events, and meetings.
